Seeding should take place just
prior to the onset of winter.
Mulching in this type of material would not give us the desired results.
It is imperative that the slopes be roughened prior to the seeding; so
that the soil will crust and prevent sloughing.
Fertilizer will not dissolve in this type of material either; therefore,
none is required.
Seed mixture shall consist of
Indian Ricegrass* Oryzopsis hymenoides
'Critana' Thickspike Wheatgrass Agropyron dasystachyum
Sand Dropseed Sporobolus cryptandrus
Four Wing Saltbush** Atriplex canescens
Rabbitbrush Chrysothamnus nauseosus
Green Mormon lea Ephedra viridis
TOTAL
*Paloma variety from Dove Creek, Colorado seed Field.
1
** Native collection for North Fork of the Gunnison.
5 lbs. of Pure Live Seed/Ac.
5
0.1
1
1
1
13.1
\ / 64C~.
JA S E.
