The pit will continue to operate annually. The supply is undetermined, but is <br />expected to last indefinitely because of the limited use of the pit. Mining will begin as <br />soon as all the proper permits are obtained. <br />The equipment to be used in the pit area will be a dozer, front end loader, and <br />trucks. All equipment maintenance will be done at the county shop in Amherst and not at <br />the pit site. <br />No water will be used in the mining process. Groundwater is well below the <br />anticipated depth of mining. <br />EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan <br />The pit area is currently farmed. Our mining plan includes stockpiling topsoil. <br />The stockpile will be protected by seeding. Our reclamation plan is to replace the topsoil <br />and return the area to farm ground. The intermittent channel will be maintained when the <br />pit is reclaimed, providing uninterrupted drainage through the property.
