In this regard, Gloria Brown's property is not within
the permit area and there will be no mining activity, including blasting, within
200 feet of her property. When the applicant decides to mine, as part of it's
mining plan, it will conduct pre-blast surveys at Ms, Browns residence (with her
permission ), use proper stemming methods during each blast and limit the
amount of explosives per shot to minimize flyrock problems and comply with
ground motion and airblast limitations. Blast events shall be monitored at Ms.
Browns residence.
2) For the Stormwater Permit and Stormwater Management Plan:
a) SWMP map showing the drainage azea;
b) Exert from above showing the vegetation areas used to calculate the 30%
vegetation cover;
c) Exert from (a) showing profile locations used to calculate the average
(26°) slope;
d) Letter from John Ferguson, P.E., calculating the peak flow for this area.
As John did not have the curve for a two year, 24 hour, event, he
calculated it fora 5 yeaz, 24 hour, event, being 81675 cu. ft. or ].8 acre
feet. These calculations do not take into account an on site percolation test,
which was not performed, and which would further lower the amount of
stormwater to be handled.
At my request, and just prior to leaving the quarry for the winter, I had the
decant pond cleaned and expanded to 400 feet east to west, 65 feet north
to south and a least 4 foot deep. If my math is correct it will accommodate
