-z-
Should the market demand develop sufficiently, the operator
may find it necessary to clear a small area of less than
one acre of pine trees within the permitted site, just below
the west face of the prominent rock outcropping. In that
event, the topsoil material will be stripped to every extent
possible and stockpiled in the extreme northwest corner of
the site. The trees removed will be separated and used for
firewood so that they are not was[ed or mixed into the top-
soil stockpile. Timing for this activity could begin within
4 to 7 years after mining activity begins at the site.
Any topsoil material placed in storage will be temporarly
seeded to a native grass mixture of blue grama and sand drop-
seed. As with the present exposed rock outcropping, it will
be impossible to replace topsoil material on the shear rocky
slopes. Therefore, the topsoil material will be used as a
seedbed for an estimated 40 pine tree seedlings at the base
of the slope where it was removed.
Topsoil material will be redistributed to a depth of 10 inches
and comingled with the fines and stoney material found on the
site to create a growth medium for trees. The result should
provide a seedbed similar to that found in undisturbed areas.
6~
Exhibit F - Proof of Compliance with Local Government Zoning
Please see the letter from the Fremont County Commissioners
granting a Special Use Permit.
