Every possible means will be taken to minimize any possible disturbance to the hydrologic
balance by exposing only minimal amounts of surface azea at any given time. Efforts will be
made to keep all sloping at 3:1 or less during the mining operation. The soil in the area of the pit
is a fast draining type and run off should not be a problem, but if needed any area that shows
signs of erosion will be seeded with a fast growing seed mixture to stabilize it.
The primary commodities will be sand and gavel with no secondary.
EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
Reclamation of the area will be on going during the life of the operation with sloping and planting
as areas of the pit aze completed with the removal of the material. Sloping will beat :S:I or less as
these azeas of the pit are mined out. Topsoil and overburden will be salvaged and stockpiled for
use in reclaiming the azea and will be spread at a depth of 6 inches and chiseled in along with any
augmentation recommend by the N.R.C.S. If there is not sufficient topsoil in the azea to be
stockpile for reclamation it will be imported. Stockpiles will be seeded, if needed; wiiih a fast
growing seed such as Prosso millet to help stabilized the slopes as well as the stockpile until
reclamation commences following the recommended plan by the N.R.C.S. if revegetation does
not occur on it own.
There will be no construction of any structure on the property, therefore no buildings will be left,
and there will be no depressions left that would leave a pond azea, unless the landowner should
request a berm or depression be left to hold water for livestock.
Every effort will be made to maintain the hydrological balance to minimize the amount of
exposed surface as mining moves from the south to the north. The soil in the area is porous and
should drain any normal precipitation. Any planting that does take place will follow the
recommendations of the NRCS to include any augmenting prior to planting.
EXHIBIT F
An A.P.E.N. permit is the only other required permit for this operation and an application was
submitted prior to this permit.
EXHIBIT H
The town of Genoa Colorado is located 1.5 miles to the east of the azea. Phone number is 719-
763-2313, Address of 305 Main Genoa, Colorado 80818.
EXHIBIT L
There are two fences with in 200 feet of the operation one on the north and in the southwest
comer.
