August 2002 -24- 003-2203
• The SF PI varied from NP to 17 and met project specifications.
4.1.4 Proctor Compaction Tests
Generally, SF used for site grading was not Proctor testable due to the amount of material larger
than '/a-inch particle size as identified in ASTM D698. On SF that was testable, Golder
performed standazd Proctor compaction tests of SF in order to compaze in-place densities and
moisture contents with laboratory derived values of maximum dry density and optimum
moisture content. The SF compaction test results are presented in Appendix I-2 and
summarized in Table 16.
Golder performed standazd Proctor compaction tests of SLF in order to compaze in-place
densities and moisture contents with laboratory derived values of maximum dry density and
optimum moisture content. Golder performed 12 CQA Standard Proctor compaction tests of
• SLF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per 4,413 cubic yards) exceeded the
minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 5,000 cubic yazds. The SLF compaction
test results aze presented in Appendix I-2 and summarized in Table 13. CQC Proctor tests were
not included in the Proctor testing frequency.
Golder performed standard Proctor compaction tests of PBM in order to compare in-place
densities and moisture contents with laboratory derived values of maximum dry density and
optimum moisture content. The PBM compaction test results aze presented in Appendix I-2
and summarized in Table 17.
4.1.5 Permeability Tests
Golder conducted permeability tests of SLF. Golder conducted 12 permeability tests of
recompacted samples of SLF at Golder's laboratory in Lakewood, Colorado. The testing
• frequency (approximately one test per 4,413 cubic yazds) exceeded the minimum specified
testing frequency of one test per 5,000 cubic yazds. Testing was performed with a
1:10p1dZ03104001CmRep0B0310U32203.p4pp.04)40u~.dac Golder Associates
