2 - 32
•
ENTRANCE ALIGNMENT CHANGE
The alignment of the access road will be changed as shown on Fgure 2.2-Z. This will
straighten the intersection with State Highway 139. The change has already been approved by
the Colorado Department of Highways (See Appendix E).
Construction of the road will involve the transfer of the fill material used to construct the
•
original road to the new alignment, compaction of the fill and surfacing the area with road base
salvaged from the old alignment. The area may be blacktopped at a later date. As shown on
Fgure 2.2.2 and 4.4.1, no topsoil will be salvaged from the new alignment. The new alignment
will require approximately 1,160 cubic yards of material to construct. Of that quantity, about
1,000 yards are available in the existing road. The additional material will be gravel of the proper
Class and amount to comply with the requirements of the driveway permit shown in Appendix E
and will be used on the Highway right•of•way. All other terms and conditions stipulated in the
driveway permit will be followed.
After all usable material has been salvaged from the existing alignment. The area will be
graded to AOC, scarified, and reseeded in accordance with Section 3 of this permit. Runoff from
the reseeded area will be controlled with fitter fabric fences and through the use of shallow
depressions that will help to retain moisture ar
-' 2.~
,7 z.z
C 1

Volume 1
4.29-96
