Mr. Simpson <br />May 12, 2006 <br />Page 3 - <br /> <br />The proposed well will be located approximately 7,500 feet from the Middle Fork <br />of the South Platte River. Using the Glover method, we have calculated the lagged <br />depletive effect associated with operation of the well. We estimated a hydraulic . <br />conductivity of 10,000 gpd/ft', based on the presence of clean sand and gravel deposits <br />at the site. The saturated thickness at the site is estimated to be 40 feet. The aquifer <br />speafic yield is estimated to be 0.25 and the distance from the stream to the No Flow <br />Boundary is approximately 9,600 feet. Based on these parameters, our analysis <br />indigtes that over half of the depletions occur within six months of pumping, with all of <br />the remainder occurring within a total of 19 months. A copy of our Glover calculations is <br />enclosed herein. In the event that Mr. <br />Allen ceases well pumping, whether temporarily or permanently, the lease shall provide <br />for replacement of post-pumping depletions per the above schedule. <br />Accounting. We propose to use the enclosed spreadsheet calculations to <br />calculate depletions associated with operation of the well, based on the actual amount of <br />water pumped for gravel washing and concrete hatching. The results of the depletion <br />calculations will be incorporated into the overall SWSP accounting calculations, which <br />was enclosed as Exhibit F to the most recent SWSP application in June 2005. <br />~ SWSP Notification.
