P1r. Michael G. Leidich -2- August 18, 1982
Buffalo No. 2 Mine
As I understand it, you plan to submit an amendment to this permit to increase
the acreage of this permit from 5 acres to 9.9 acres. As we agreed, this
amendment will be submitted within the next 2 months. The application fee for
such an amendment will be $25.00 plus $10.00 per acre or part thereof added.
The amendment should include a smaller scale map that will illustrate the exact
acreage to be included in the amended permit, any other changes to the permit
as a result of the amendment, and answers, as necessary, to all of the problems
raised in my inspection report. The last of these three matters should include
the updating of the reclamation plan (since retopsoiling will not be possible),
the plans for rectifying the overcasting of the calcined clay (its removal, as
I understand it), plans for further topsoil salvage, if possible, etc.
Once again, within the context of last Monday's discussion, your annual report
is adequate. I have included one receipt For the annual fee for this operation,
one for the Buffalo No. 1 Mine and the other three annual fees submitted on
August 5, 1982.
Please feel free to call me if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Ptark S.
