1.2.5 Cultural Practices <br />In addition to 2005 replaced topsoil revegetation practices, Trapper also conducted several <br />other cultural practices. These practices are addressed below. <br />Mature Shrub Transplant Clumps <br />In 2005, Trapper did not complete construction on any new mature shrub clumps because of <br />wet October and November weather that precluded planned consUuction. At least two new <br />shrub clumps are planned for construction in the fail of 2006. <br />Drainage Reconstruction <br />Refer to Section 3.0 of this annual report. <br />Contour Ditch Construction <br />During 2005, Trapper constructed contour ditches in new reclaimed areas of Flintlock pit and <br />East Flintlock (Z) pit (Map 1). <br />Stock Tank Construction <br />No new Stock Tanks were constructed during the 2005 field season. Refer to Section 6. <br />Stock Tank Reclamation <br />• No Stock Tanks were reclaimed during the 2005 field season. Refer to Section 6. <br />Developmental Drill Sites <br />During the 2005 Developmental Drilling season, five developmental drill sites were disturbed <br />that required regrading and seeding. Ail other development drill sites are included within pit <br />advancement disturbance by the end of 2006. <br />Topsoil Piles <br />Refer to Section 5. Topsoil stockpiles were sloped and seeded to the approved 2005 <br />perennial topsoil pile mix. Approximately 8.4 acres were treated. <br />Sediment Dams <br />Middle Flume #3 sediment pond was cleaned. As outlined in TR-94, permanent retention of <br />sediment ponds in the No-Name, Johnson, West Pyeatt, East Pyeatt, Grouse, Oak, West <br />Flume, Middle Flume, East Middle Flume, East Flume, Deer, Ute, and Horse Gulch drainages <br />increased total regarded and topsoiled acreages by 100.6 acres of the total 223.2 2005 <br />reclaimed acreage. <br />r <br />LJ <br />
