Facility Location: In Section 34 ojT10S, R98W,• near exit 46 oj!-70, roar Cameo, CO <br />PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT <br />In a letter dated January 12, 1994, the permittee requested an additional outfall for the purpose of discharging mine water <br />from newly opened portals. The new portals are in the NE I/4, NE 1/4, Section 11, TITS, R98W, approximately two miles <br />south ojthe main Roadside Mine portals. Auerage flow voltau will be 0.18 MCA. This water has bun discharged for <br />awhile through outfall 002; thus, when the new omfall begins disdwrging, total mine water flaw volume wiU not change. <br />The water is settled underground prior to pumping. This outfall shall be designated as o all 015. Discharge from outfal! <br />015 will go to an unnamed tributary to the Colorado River, about 3/4 mile above confluence. <br />In another letter also dated January 12, 1994, the permittee requested relief from clvonic WET testing. The Division is <br />curremly reopening permiu such as this one that Domain outdated WET language to replan it with language consistent with <br />the currem regulation and guidance docvmem. On this balls, we are amending this permit's WET requirements and <br />considering the permittu's request as it relates to the currem regulations. After the jo!lowing description of the new WET <br />requiremems, we wiU include a discussion of our decision on the perminu's request. <br />RECEIVING STREAM <br />A.
