The permit area occupies <br />I_. <br />portions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, T6S, R90W. The Colorado <br />r River flows in an east to west direction between one-quarter <br />and one-and-one-half miles north of the permit Brea. Alkali <br />~~ Creek flows in an east to west direction about one to two <br />miles south of the permit area. <br />`- The permit area occurs as part of the Grand Hogback <br />physiographic feature, an uninterrupted ridge of predominantly <br />sandstone materials. <br />Access to the permit area is via Interstate Highway <br />I-70 and county roads. <br />• <br />-2- <br />
