Noise pollution <br />Air pollution from blowing dust <br />Traffic and public safety -heavy trucks loaded with gravel competing with local traffic on Hwy <br />194. <br />4. Increase in mosquitoes if a lazge standing pond or other breeding areas are developed. <br />5. The quality of life will fall significantly. <br />6. We may experience an economic loss to our farming and livestock operations. The mine will <br />lower our property values. <br />7. The sand piles and dirt they will mine will blow and affect the health of our livestock. <br />8. Do not want to put up with the noise and lights all hours of the day and night. <br />9. Mr. Ed Kite's last gravel pit is presently in the courts of the State of Colorado. <br />10. Heavy trucks do a lot of damage to the roads. <br />11. Water Pollution <br />2. The water table is high. It is usually impossible to get a tractor into the southern end of my <br />field. If a large pond is added, most of the rest of my fields could be lost to farming. It will <br />cause additional water table problems. It will ruin surrounding farmland. <br />3. The environment may be significantly damaged. <br />4. The site is right next to a river and sewage lagoon. <br />5. Some of their (All Rite Paving and Redi-Mix, Inc.) previous sites have had leaking fuel and <br />they have dumped their scrapped asphalt in arroyos. <br />
