EXHIBIT E: Reclamation Plan
Hocker Construction, LLP Gravel Pit
The Hocker Construction gravel pit will be reclaimed to rangeland (RL). The IIoor ofthe
pit will be mined flat (+/- 1 % grade directed into original drainage) and covered with
overburden and existing topsoil in prepazation for RL use. Slopes created by the mining
activities will be graded to a 3:1 (or less steep) slope. Retention ponds will be removed,
allowing the natural drainage pattern to reestablish itself.
Reclamation activities will follow minnig activities as closely as possible. This means
that when mining is complete in phase 1, phase 1 will be reclaimed while musing begins
in phase 2, and so forth. It is estimated that each phase will take 3 to 5 years to mine.
Mining is estimated to last until the year 2025. This estimate is based on a 20-yeaz mine
life.
This site may be fall seeded if needed with the following seed mix, or similar, as
recommended by the Natural Resource Conservation Service. This seed mix will also be
used for final reclamation.
PLS % of PLS seeding
planned Total PLS
rates per species in rates per
acres
lbs/species
acre mixture s ecies/acre
Western wheat 16
0 20 2
3 64 204.8
grass - Arriba . .
Crested
wheatgrass - 10.0 20 2 64 128
Nordan
Indian
ricegrass- 12.5 20 2.5 64 160
Paloma
Needleand
Thread- 15.0 20 3.0 64 192
Commercial
Blue Grama -
Blue 3.0 20 0.6 64 38.4
Covington
*PLS: pounds live seed
Ripping or chisel plowing as necessary will loosen soil.
