I have several questions and comments conc
application that I have organized on an exhibit-by-exhibit basis
exhibits or parts thereof not mentioned in this letter are consid
adequate now. Please respond to this letter by no later tharrFeb
such that I can review your responses and clarify any problems' t
before the scheduled February 22-23, 1984 meeting. Please be adv
I will be out of the office all next week, but will return the fo
Tuesday. I have sent a copy of this letter to Mr. Di Rezza to faci
your communication with him about the matters discussed herein.
application
~rning this
ielow. Any
gyred to be
sed that
lowing
itate
n
~ As always, before the Board can consider the application, I will eed the
~~'~.
` ~
~ r of of the two sequential weeks of publication in a local newsy per and
~ proof of notification to immediately adjacent landowners. Please forward
these items to us as soon as they are available.
Consultation with our Division Director, David Shelton, indicates that the
oti l two copies of the application both require an original signature y Mr. Di Rezza,
,~,~ f the proposed operator, rather than you. I suggest that you have im sign two
C
copies of page 4 of the 110 form and send them to our Division.
Exhibit B
1. I understand the somewhat tentative nature of the plans for P ases 3 and 4.
'~ However, even though these areas may not be actually mined further , they have
been disturbed during the time in which permitting was required. Furthermore,
the configuration of the site indicates that equipment traffic, h uling of
'Z product, equipment parking, product processing and other activiti s typically
connected with the operation of a gravel pit will occur in these wo phases.
' They are part of the proposed permit area, and, even if extensive ravel
I extraction does not occur in them, they will need to be reclaimed before
release of the area to allow the amending on of an equal area to he west.
If these areas are, for now, to remain truly undisturbed, and you can document
~ that they should not be a part of this permit area (i.e., they ha a been
totally undisturbed since 1973), then you should remove them fro the permit
now. Please clarify this entire situation.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel. (~03) 866-3567
