Banta.
Division Director
During our review of the Second Quarter Pond Inspection reports, some possible
problems were noticed. Your assistance in resolving the following issues will
be very much appreciated.
1. The inspection reports indicate that the industrial waste pond (IWP),
located in the No Name drainage is inspected. This impoundment should be
inspected. We cannot find any designs for this impoundment, nor is it
specifically labeled on Map M51 (sheet 1 of 4).
Please review your documents and if designs exist, we would appreciate a
reference. If, however, none have been submitted, then please submit a
technical revision which contains the compliance information required by
Rule 4.05.9 (and 4.05.6 if the pond is used to retain sediment). Please
also submit a revised Map M51 (sheet 1 of 4) which labels the impoundment
location,
2. The Map M51 (sheet 2 of 4) indicates a Deer #1 pond. Please explain the
status of this pond. A revision would be necessary if the drainage
control system has been changed from the configuration shown on the
approved plan.
Thank you for assistance, and please call if you have questions.
Sincerel
a y,~ aerry
amation Specialist
CWB/ern
cc: Jim Stevens, MLRD
9553E
