•'- `
Ms. Ruth Gray

- 2 - April la, 1988
In order to expedite the permitting process, we encourage you to review Pule 2
of the Minerals Pules and Regulations. The 110 permit application you
submitted will provide a good basis for developing the 112 permit
application. The new submittal should address potential mining and
reclamation plans for the San Miguel County portion of this operation as well
as the anticipated activities in the Mnnt m se County portion of the
operations. Please note that your request to waive the publication and public
hearing requirements is beyond the scope of the Board authority, since these
procedures are required by law.
As we have discussed in the past, all mining operations in the state of
Colorado must be permitted prior to initiation of mining-related operations.
The Division strongly urges Skelton, Inc. to not develop, extract, crush or
remove materials from any mining site in the state prior to ohtaining a permit
from the Mined Land P,eclamation Board.
If you have any questions about this matter, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Steven G.
