During the second year, an additional 13 acres of land will
be mined. This will be graded, topsoiled, and rev,getated.
During the third year, 15 acres will be mined. Reclamation
costs include the cost to backfill and grade t e exposed
trench at any point in the next six years (a m ximum of
30,000 cu. yds.), to backfill and grade Pond B and Plant
area B, and topsoil and revegetate the 15 acres that were
mined.
During subsequent years, reclamation includes tops cling and
revegetation of the mined acreages. Ongoing grading costs
are included in mining operations costs.
Panhandle Drilling Company proposes to implement b nding on
an annual basis to cover the incremental costs o reclama-
tion for each year. The initial bond would be obt fined and
increased each succeeding year as indicated in Table 5.
Note, that as reclamation Eor earlier years is c mpleted,
that amount is subtracted from the total bond requ red.
