Prior to augmentation, .114.5 acre-feet of consumptive
credit is available. The plan requires use of '62.1 acre-feet
of consumptive-use credit, but also results.in a return-flow
credit of 25_8 acre-Feat. After augmentation, 78.2 acre-feet
of consumptive-use credit will remain. It could be leased
to others, such as the town of Nucla, or used in a
reclamation program.
Use of water stored in the ponds will be required during
the months of.April and October, when the consumptive-use
credit is too low to supply the needed water. It will be
important to ensure that sufficient water is stored in the
-ponds at the beginning of these months.
•
Facilities
The facilities system that utilizes and distributes the
62.1 acre-feet includes the following: 1). five ponds in the
NUCLA mine area, 2j a~pond south of NUCLA EAST mining area,
and 3) the cc ditch system, particularly .the sections that
feed Tuttle and Calamity Draws, and the diversion-split box
No. 13 on the CC ditch (Figure 2).
Appendix B contains as-built drawings of the five NOCLA
mine ponds and the proposed NOCLA EAST pond design developed
by PCC. Each pond is designed to intercept water from the
24
I•
GEOTRANS, INC.
REVISED MARCH 2006 Attachment 2.05.6(3)(b)(v)-1-29
