EXEIBIl E
CASTLE SAiv'D PIT
REGLAiriA^1ION PLAi~I
The Sand Pit Operation consists of approximately 31 acres
of land of which 23 acres will be disturbed by the mining operation.
The land will be reclairmed through the use of a sanitary landfill
operation. upon completion of the operation this land will revert
to uses allowed by A-1 Zone (Agricultural). This use coincides with
surrounding lands.
The reclamation plan will involve four phases of operation.
They are as folloc•rs:
Phase I - Sanitary Landfill. The dumping of waste material
which is immediately covered with on-site soil.
Phase II - Will involve the placing of 6 feet or more
of soil over the landfill.
Phase III - Will be the reseeding, placing of topsoil,
and fertilizer application.
Phase IV - Will be a one-year maintenance period.
Implementation of this plan may have some negative effects on local
environment. The landfill operation may require analysis of the
environmental impact. Any possible problems may be eliminated by
placing the landfill operation under close .supervision and clear
guidelines. ~'~ _.
Timetables: See Exhibit "Ef" L~~a 4
4- _3z-zz?
Description of Reclamation: See Exhibit "F"
