APPENDIX Vegetation Information
A vegetation inventory of the area was conducted for the purposes
of this application. The site was visited by staff members of the
Double E1 Soil Conservation District their report is incorporated
as part of Appendix B.
The present ground cover ie primarily blue grama (60$) and although
not in excellent condition was judged adequately vegetated to
prevent erosion. The area has historically been used as grazing
land for the cattle owned by the landholder, whose family has owned
and operated the area as a ranch for more than a hundred years.
The recommendations of the USDA NRCS will be followed as the site
is reclaimed to rangeland. The recommendations prescribed both the
type of seeding and slope conditions that should exist to obtain a
complete re-vegetation of the area.
