The potential plant commurtity is typical of Pinyon-Juniper
LJoodlattd, There is moderate erosion hazard because of slope,
/10 Long Draw - 'this pit is located in (Y22) Unnamed-rlnsari loam complex
(Ansari fraction), `t'here is no e+ridence of stockpiled topsoil, The surface
10 inches is a sandy loam which could be set aside for surfacing if the pit is
worked further. The surrounding area is typical of open Pinyon-Juniper 11ood-
land. There is little erosion hazard because of the gentle slope,
;r9 Slick Rock - 't'his pit is located in (lag) Unnamed gravelly sandy loam on
a bench above the Dolores Ri~rer, There is a small amount of soil material
set aside I'or surfacing, It appears there may be about 10 inches of material
suitable £or topsoiling that could be used if the pit is further excavated.
The ~regetation is typical o.f low potential Pinyon-Juniper Lloodland. The
erosion hazard is slight be~:ause of soil texture and gentle slopes,
O The Soil Conservation Sarnce SCS-AS-1
U is an agency of ine 7D.7g
Degertmenl of Agriculture
