The <br />Brantner Gulch enters the property at about the halfway point of the west <br />' property line then flows north, parallel with the westerly property line to <br />the northwest corner. The mining plan allows for the gulch to maintain its <br />flow along the west property line. Mining on the property will set back from <br />' \the gulch and at its closest point is approximately 50 feet west of the mining <br />operation. <br />A 36" diameter C.M.P. culvert crosses Henderson Road and drains onto the <br />' Nyholt property. The maximum capacity of this C.M.P. is 68 c.f.s. for inlet <br />control conditions. The actual capacity of this culvert is much less than <br />I 68 c.f.s. because at the time of my inspection, the culvert was about 90% C <br />' plugged with silt, sediment: and debris. The drainage water from this culvert <br />ponds on the Nyholt property until it reaches sufficient depth to drain into <br />' the Brantner Gulch along the North property line. The flowline elevation of <br /> the Brantner Gulch as it enters the Nyholt property at the west property line <br />v, , <br />~., ` '~ <br />~~~ <br />~~~ ,. <br />)y <br />~~ ~~ ~ <br />~~_ <br />~~c <br />through the concrete box culvert is about 2.5 feet higher than the invert out <br />elevation of the 36" diameter C.M.P. Therefore, it is impractical to try to <br />channel the flow from the 36" diameter C.M.P. to the Brantner Gulch. Drainage <br />1 water from this culvert will, therefore, be accomodated on-site. <br />At no time will the property or lake be diked so as to block excessive <br />' drainage. There are no other waterways, canals, dams or reservoirs on the <br />property. .~ <br />It is expected that the lake excavated on ttae property will join the County - <br />lake to the east. If this is the case, the pit will be dewatered a few feet <br />at times when overburden removal coincides with high spring water tables, under <br />(13) <br />1 <br />
