Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />Tn regard to the above application, the Division has received letters of comment from the <br />Colorado Department of Transportation; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the Colorado Office <br />of the State Engineer; the Natural Resource Conservation Service; the U.S. Fish and Wildlife <br />Service; the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District and the Colorado Division of Wildlife. I <br />have enclosed copies of the letters for your consideration. Please review the comments and <br />incorporate into the application as many of their requirements and recommendations as possible. <br />The Division will consider the various agency comments during the application review process. <br />The Division has also received letters of concern and objection from four individuals. Mr. <br />Thomas Mazs submitted his concerns through his legal counsel. His attorney has been contacted <br />to determine whether Mr. Mazs objects to approval of the application. Ms Marilyn Kent <br />submitted her concerns regazding the application. She will be contacted to determine whether <br />she is objecting. I~iessrs. B. Michl Lloyd and Wayne C. Muhler, PhD submitted their concerns, <br />and they have told the staff that they object to approval of the application. These two individuals <br />have also complained, in their letters, about Aggregate Industries' gravel operation at the Tucson <br />Resource Mine permit No. M-1991-140.
