EXHIBIT E
The reclamation plan calls for the Flatiron Pi[ to be an open reservoir and the Reichert Pit
to be reclaimed as lowland wildlife habitat and open space. As private land, no public
recreation use is currently being planned.
No conflict between reclamation plans and adjacent land uses is expected.
Section 3 -Comparison with Applicable DMG Requirements
Materials Handline
The reclamation area will be graded as shown in Exhibit F-Reclamation Plan Map.
Substantial grading will be limited to the immediate vicinity of the Reichert and Flatiron
pits, respectively. All subsoils, topsoils and overburden will be native materials and will
be used in the reclamation grading to provide slope material and growth medium. At no
location will the slope be steeper than 3: 1.
There are no known toxic materials in the proposed fill material.
Grading will be done with scrapers, dozers, sheepsfoot compactors, and blades as needed.
The final contours will be smoothly transitioned to minimize erosion, and compacted to
minimize the hazard of unstable slopes.
Final grading, planting and seeding will commence in a timely manner to minimize soil
erosion.
No swimming area is planned for the reclaimed reservoir.
Water
Measures taken to minimize disturbance to the prevailing hydrologic balance of affected
land, for quantity and quality, will include:
a) Compliance with all applicable Colorado water laws.
b) Compliance with all applicable federal and Colorado water quality laws and
regulations.
c) Compliance with all applicable federal and Colorado dredge and fill requirements
(Army Corps of Engineers clearance pending).
d) Removal and backfill of any sediment or siltation structures created for use in
conjunction with mining activities associated with this permit application.
Spoil piles (including topsoil, subsoil and overburden) remaining undisturbed longer than
one growing season will be seeded with fast-growing mix to minimize erosion.
