Dt;,, ~.
I appreciate your timely review of the 111 Mining and Reclamation Permit
application for the Vazra Companies, Gravel Plant ~3. 1n response to yoisr letter of
October 15, 1981, I submit the following:
EXHIBTT B
1. The proposed permit azea for this operation is cleazly mazked •as PHASE I
and PLANT SITE & STOCKPII,ES on the Mine Plan Phasing Map. This
approximates a 9.9 acre azea. Mining for this operation will be from west to
east in asouth-easterly direction. The access and haul roads are shown on
the map by the standazd USGS topographic map symbols for unimproved dirt
roads. Coal Creek is an ephemeral stream. The channel is cwrrently dry.
This channel is also indicated on the map with standard USGS :symbols. It
runs along the northern edge of the permit azea.
2. Noted
3. The subject of diversions is addressed in the mining plan. T~~ reiterate:
"... minor diversions will be implemented to divert runoff azound the working
pit as appropriate...". Diversions aze not generally required on sireas where
the slope is as low as it is here (0 to 3%).
..,~,
EXHIBIT D
1. The Colorado Division of Wildlife was notified in writing on October 5, 1981
in a letter addressed to Mr. P. T. Bazrows. An Impact staff meiober visited
the Division on October 20 and no objections to this permit have been
voiced. If Mined Land Reclamation would like a written reply from the
Division of Wildlife, the Division suggested that MLR send a formal request.
