October 22, 198 <br />Application for Right-of-Way <br />Garfield County, Colorado <br />Page 2 <br />• <br />• <br />and CO-125516 for what is presently estimated to be the <br />life of the Munger Canyon Mine - 30 years. <br />The existing access along the Munger Canyon floor is the <br />only reasonable access to the above noted leases and is <br />necessary for the logical development of the leases. <br />DESCRIPTION OF FACILITIES <br />The requested sixty (60) foot wide right-of-way will <br />extend approximately 1700 feet (0.32 miles), and will <br />include an existing road and areas necessary for possible <br />road improvements, hydrologic controls such as ditches <br />and sedimentation controls, and an additional area (approx- <br />imately 36' x 65', see map) that makes up a portion of a <br />parking area at the extreme northeast portion of the requested <br />right-of-way. No major modifications are presently antici- <br />pated, however the requested right-of-way width (60 feet) <br />should allow for any modification required by federal mining/ <br />environmental regulations. <br />The right of way will be used, as is presently the case, <br />to access the issued coal leases at the coal outcrop, and <br />for haulage of coal from this site. <br />If there are any questions or a need for additional information <br />please feel free to contact me at you convenience. <br />Si rely, <br />William C.
