ase Va Weekiy Summary No. 57 Page 3
Phase Nc
Ames did not conduct any construction activities in the Phase Nc azea during this reporting period.
Field Monitoring and Testine Activities
Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase N earthworks. All construction
materials and sail materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in
accordance with project specifications. Removal of oversized and deleterious material from all fill
azeas was observed. Golder observed Structural Fill (SF) placement in Phase IV for lift thickness,
moisture content, and compactive effort.
Golder provided observation of DCF removal from the edge of the Phase III and LOB geomembrane
for defects outside of the tie-in. Defects outside of the tie-in were mazked for repair.
Golder observed and tested placement of SLF in Phase IVa, completing twenty-two in-situ density
tests, six depth verification tests, and verified surface prepazation. Prior to geomembrane
deployment, the SLF met the requirements of the specifications.
Golder observed anchor trench excavation for proper location and dimension (2' wide and 3' deep).
Anchor trench excavation met or exceeded the requirements of the specifications.
Golder observed concrete placement for construction of the 42-inch CSP headwall. The concrete was
placed in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
Golder observed geomembrane deployment, documenting ambient air temperature, panel
dimensions, seaming, tie-in overlap, and seam testing (trial seams, pressure, vacuum, and
destructive). Geomembrane placed in the Phase Na azea met the project specifications.
I •
Golder observed construction of the Primary Underdrain and Secondary Underdrains in Phase IVb
for trench dimensions (5' by 3' and 4' by 2'), slope (minimum 1%), materials, and geomembrane
overlap.
Golder observed and documented excavation and remediation activities associated with the Phase IV
underground working construction. Full-time monitoring was given to excavation of underground
workings.
Golder observed and documented confirmation drilling activities associated with the Phase N
construction. Full-time monitoring was given to confirmation drilling of underground workings
including logging holes, mazking drill locations, surveying holes, and documenting underground
workings encountered.
Phme Rh Sl luneJ0.JUly 13.doc Golder Associates Inc.
