(1) Measure to minimize disturbance to the hydrologic balance, prevent off-site drainage and
provide for a stable configuration of the reclaimed area consistent with the proposed future
use of the land.
This is a unique operation taking place in the stem of the Arikaree. The stream flow will replenish
the previously mined material whenever it flows. This operation will not affect the hydrologic
balance of the area. Reclamation will consist solely of seeding the reclaimed backslopes at the
stream edge to rangeland use, which is consistent with future use and that of the surrounding land
of the owner/applicant. An Army Corps of Engineers 404 Permit is being secured which will
provide the measures necessary to protect the hydrology and land use of the area.
(m) Specify whether the deposit/ore will be processed on site.
There will be no on-site processing as the material will be loaded into haul trucks to be moved to a
processing site off of the property.
(n) Identify the primary and secondary commodities to be mined/extracted and describe the
intended use.
The only material to be mined is the sand and gravel on the floor of the Arikazee River and Currie
Creek. There is no other material available as a secondary product. the material will be used for
construction aggregates on projects in the azea.
(o) Name and describe the intended use of all expected incidental products to be
mined/extracted by the proposed operation.
As stated in "n" above, there aze no incidental or secondary commodities to be mined from this site.
Sand and gravel are the only products that are present and will be used as various construction
aggregates.
C-3
