Darry A. Ferguson, P.E.
October 24, 2000
Page Two
Although the Division does not impose a fee at the time of application, there will be a
charge for staff time spent on reviewing the application and preparing the final
recommendation. Currently the charge is $72.47 per hour, and my preliminary estimate
is 15 to 25 hours for this project. An invoice will be sent to the applicant upon
completion of the review.
Please be reminded that the application should be submitted to Douglas County Planning
and Community Development Department in accordance with their requirements. I will
begin our comprehensive technical review with copies already famished to the Division
as a courtesy to expedite this first phase of the permit process. Douglas County will
abide by their procedure with planning reviews and public hearings for final approval, as
appropriate.
Because the property is a mining site permitted by the Division of Minerals and Geology
(DMG), you will need to secure DMG approval for the planned operations. Also, you
must provide written concurrence from the mine owner and property owner concerning
your planned operations at the site.
Should you have any questions, I may be reached at 303-692-3455
Sincerel ,
i
J.
