Mc Rae <br />Mc Rae 6 Short, Inc. <br />1227 - 8th Ave. <br />Greeley, Colorado 89631 <br />Re: La Poudre Sand & Gravel, Inc., Ftle No. 83-90 <br />Dear Mr. Mc Rae: <br />The Division has reviewed the above captioned permit application and has <br />the following questions and comments. This application has been <br />scheduled before the M1ned Land Reclamation Board at the August 24-25, <br />1983 meeting. To provide review time of your responses by the Division, <br />please respond to the following, point-by-point, by August 5, 1983. <br />Permit Application Form <br />The operator submitted an application fee based upon total <br />acres o be disturbed. However, the appllcatlon fee is supposed to be <br />calculated based upon the total acres permitted. Therefore, please <br />submit an additional 568.00 (31,647.00 - 51,579.00 = 568.00) to cover all <br />246.2 acres being permitted. <br />The Division is unclear on what a future land use of "open <br />space" is. The Division Interprets "open space" to be an area accessible <br />V~~ for wildlife. Therefore, the Division has looked at the reclamation of <br />this area with wildlife habitat, conservation, and recreation to mind. <br />Exhibit C - Pre-M1n1nv Map <br />~ What measures w111 be taken to Insure that the "Excepted <br />Parcel" is not dlsturbedi Also, please specify what the "Excepted <br />Parcel" is. <br />There are a number of valuable manmade structures (eg: Eaton <br />Ditch, American Telephone 6 Telegraph Easement, etc.) throughout tfie area <br />being permitted. Pursuant to C.R.S. 1973, 34-32-115(4)(d), an agreement <br />between the operator and the persons having an Interest to each of the <br />structures that damage to the structure 1s to be compensated for by the <br />423 Centennial Building. 1313 Sherman Street Denver.
