~• FAN STOPPAGE PLAN <br />In order to comply with Section 75.321, 30 CFR 75, and to insure <br />the safety of the workmen in case of discontinuity of a main fan, <br />the following plan is hereby adopted: <br />1. LJhen a fan stoppage occurs, the official in charge of <br />underground operations will be notified promptly, and <br />cormunications will be maintained during the interruption. <br />2. In the event of a fan stoppage, all men will be withdrawn <br />from the working section, and all power will be deenergized <br />i~~~ediately. <br />3. If the interruption is for less than 15 minutes, working <br />places and other active workings where m=thane is likely <br />to accumulate are re-examined by a certified person to <br />determine if methane in amounts of 1.0 volume per centum <br />or more exists therein. <br />4. if the fan is not started within 15 minutes, all men will <br />C• be withdrawn from the mine and any electric power used in <br />the mine will be cut off within 30 minutes of the fan <br />stoppage. -- <br />5.
