`~ All mining equipment or operational areas which are subject to large
concentrations of dust will be equipped with water sprayers at the
source to keep airborne dust to a minimum. Adequate ventilation will be
provided to each working face to quickly move dust particles during the
course of mining. The mine operation will comply with MSHA rules and
regulations to keep respirable dust to a minimum. Sampling will be done
as outlined by MSHA.
Operation Description
A detailed narrative description of the land to be affected within the
permit area and the planned mining activities is provided under the
heading Production Methods and Equipment. The mining plan is
graphically portrayed on the Mine Plan Map (Map 8). The portal areas
and other surface support facilities to be affected by the planned mine
operation are shown on the Drainage aRd Sediment Control Plan Map (Map
6).

As described earlier, Sunbelt will be utilizing a room and pillar method
of underground mining. The surface area necessary to facilitate
underground mining will be less than 7 acres. The extent of underground
workings will be on the order of approximately 10 acres per year for
50,000 tons annual average production.
Mine Facilities
The underground mining operations to be conducted by Sunbelt will
include the following surface support structures: Office ;• Shop; Coal
Crushing, Handling and Loadout Facility; Transformer and Utility Lines;
Sedimentation Pond; Exhaust Fan; and Access Road.
Office and Sh
Sunbelt will maintain an office and shop at the planned operation as
. shown on the Drainage and Sediment Control Plan Map (Map 6).
2.05-15
