Reference Gregg Squire Letter Dated
7/20/99
To Whom this may concern:
Thank you for taking time to listen to my presentation. I
include the following background information:
Letter dated June 15, 1999 to Tuttle Applegate from
Louis F. Swift
Letter dated June 21, 1999 to Gregg Squire from Allen
Soronson, RE. Res. Lining, Connell Res. Pit File #
M-99-050
Letter dated June 24, 1999 to Michael Applegate from
Gregg R. Squire
Letter dated July 20, 1999
I appreciate and thank the State of Colorado for requesting a
monitoring and mitigation plan for the Timnath Connell Pit
application adjacent to Swift Ponds (June 24, 1999 letter).
I met with Ben Connell and Dave Jones (Applegate) on Monday
August 2, 1999, at Swift Ponds. Dave Jones commented that he
had not visited the subject property or Swift Ponds so the
meeting was basically a "Show and Tell".
I have owned the Swift Ponds property since 1969. It
concerns me that adjacent optionees and their paid
consultants have not even visited the site before proposing
major changes in the area.
I would hope that before any gravel permit is issued that a
reasonable and through analysis is made concerning the'
hydraulic effects, not only on Swift Ponds, but the Poudre
River Basin.
Therefore, I suggest that Historical underground flow be
monitored and maintained.
