Performance and Financial Warranties '
You must submit a performance warranty and a financial warranty in an amount determined
by the Board prior to permit issuance.* Se Seral different types of financial warranty
are allowed by the law. You should deternine what type of financial warranty you desire
to use and obtain the appropriate forms from: the Mined Land Reclamation Division during
the application review period to facilitate~fiinalization of an acceptable financial
warranty and permit issuance.
Compliance with Other Laws
Section 115 of the Act requires a permit apication be in compliance with all
applicable local, State and Federal laws. suggest you contact the following agencies
to dote rnrine whether you need to comply wrtlf their legal requirements:
State Engineer with regard to the admigistration of water rights;
Colorado Department of Health with re

*If the applicant is a unit of State or county government, then only a performance
warranty is required.
