<br />The water line used to figure the slope distance is 5 feet below the existing grade, thus the applicant <br />will use approximately 16 to 20 feet of bank seeding for reclamation cost. <br />The 75 acres of disturbance at any one time included the 25 acres of the load-out and stockpile, <br />therefore, no more than 50 acres of active mining and reclamation will be exceeded. <br />The vegetative piles to remove are the Chico brush and forbs that are to be stripped and used for <br />organic matter for reclamation. No trees will be removed for mining. <br />The reclamation plan states that no fertilizer will be used, however, we have included a cost item in <br />Exhibit "L", just in case we need some fertilizer [o get some grass established quickly. Mulch will <br />also be incorporated into the plan if it will get growth of the grasses started sooner. Therefore, the <br />inclusion of a cost item for mulch is also in Exhibit'`L". <br />The NRCS did assist in the revegetation recommendations and Mr. Steven L. Russells, District <br />Conservationist, did not recommend any legume or forbs. Please see enclosed report dated August <br />9, 2000 from NRCS exhibit. <br />Exhibit "F" Reclamation Map <br />Please see Notes & Symbols on Reclamation Map <br />All road & rail crossing will have a culvert to maintain water flow. <br />The topo will be graded back to [he original shape, on the east portion where the loadout & stockpile <br />are to be located. <br />Exhibit "G"- Water Information <br />No wetlands are included in the mining permit area. The Rio Grande River is south of the mine <br />permit boundary, and does no[ come any closer than 300 feet to a point of the boundary. <br />As stated, [he maximum pond surface area will not exceed 100 acres. <br />The map is to be supplied when the firm of Agro Engineering is finished with the augmentation plan. <br />Please see Agro Engineers under Exhibit "G" <br />The operator/applicant does understand [hat until the approved agumentation plan is submitted to <br />the Division, no exposed surface water can be permitted. <br />The operator/applicant does also understand that they may be able to bond for backfilling [he pond. <br />
