a parcel of land approximately 220 acres. Since the application will be changed to reflect the correct
number of acres (220), this will then correspond to the acreage figures found elsewhere in the
application.
Exhibit "C" -Pre-minine and Minin¢ Plan Maps
All easements and easement holders and structures will be shown on the revised Pre-mining and
Mining maps.
The San Luis Central Railroad shown on [he east end of the proposed permitted area, has an
easement of 100 feet wide, measured 50 feet each way from the centerline of the tracks. No part of
this easement will be included in [he permitted area.
The 200 foot non-mining buffer zone that runs parallel to [he section line North to South is not in
the permit area until it crosses the panhandle of the permit area, 1120 feet south of the northeast of
Section 20, [hen it crosses the permit area for an additional 1320 feet back to the P.O.B., This is a
200-foot buffer zone in order to keep mining (excavation) away from the existing private ranch road.
The existing ranch road that runs North to South parallel to the buffer on [he east side will not be
used for mine pit traffic of any egress [o and from the pit area. A pit road will be built to cross the
existing ranch road from East to West and the storage and stockpile and railroad loading areas in
the southwest area of the permitted area. No haul roads are proposed except the entry road on the
north side of the pit where it connects to the North Farm Road. This is the only county approved
access, and will be the only point of access for pit traffic. This road will be in the permit area. The
railroad will be used for export of sand and gravel via train only.
In sunvnary, only the entry point on the North Farm Road will service this pit for Haulage and normal
pit traffic. The rail spur will be used to export product by the railroad only. No traffic will be routed
through ranch headquarters or near the proposed rail spur.
The entry gate and road that are shown on the north side of the azea to be mined is the only access
to the pit via public roads, and a segment of this road is outside the proposed permit boundary. The
road does not exist at present, and it is proposed to be constructed when mining starts. We will need
to bond for the pit access road. The road will be approximately 48 feet by 200 feet, or 9,600 s.f. (.22
acre), which, when added to the 219.706 acres as described by the metes and bounds traverse is
219.93 acres, or approximately 220 acres as per the application -Item 3 Permitted acreage. No other
entrance to the pit is proposed, neither ranch headquarters nor rail spur will be access outlets for pit
traffic, as stated before in this letter.
