1xu'Cat
1044 West Hwy. 112
Del N(719) 657-2338rte, Colorado 81132 MAR s 19
99
RULE 6 PERMIT APPLICATION EXHIBIT REQUIREMENTS DivialPn to Mine s$Gee
Exhibit A: Legal description and location map o/p9},
l. The legal description of proposed property is T 41N, R 6E, SE quarter, of the
SW quarter.
2. See Map included. NO other surface owners are in the area within 200',
C we own all of the surrounding property.
Exhibit-$ Site Description
A. This land is now pasture land consisting of mainly chico bush and dry land
grasses.
B. No Man made Structures are anywhere in this vesinity.
C. The nearest water resource is the Rio Grand Canal which runs through the
middle of our property. The Canal is approximately 3/8 of a mile away from
the proposed site. There will be no change in water flow because this is a dry
area. Very little snow fall in this area, if their is any drainage it would be from
snowfall run off and would never reach the canal anyway. Instead it would
probably run off into our farm land.
D. The only wildlife we have seen in this area is antelope which should not be
affected by our mining operation. We feel this way because when we had to
dig our recharge pit for the farm which is somewhat the same kind of work we
received a letter from the Division of Wildlife stating our work would not
endanger any wildlife in the area.
50
Exhibit C: Mining Plan
A. We would like to commence mining on April 15, 1999. The recharge pit phase
of the operation would be permanent because it would always be necessary for
my farm. The only part of this recharge pit that would be reclaimed would be
to haul out the stock piles that would be around the recharge pit. This is
because I have to continuously recharge our ditch water back into the ground
in order to use the water on my farm. The other part of the site would also
plan to be permanent, but broke down into phases. As you can see from
looking at the map each phase would be side by side. But by doing it in phases
we would be able to reclaim phase 1 before going on to phase 2 and so on.
B. Recharge pit will be 2.75 acres 10 to 20 feet deep and I acre of stock pile area
for stock piling and crushing. These will be reclaimed by removing the stock
piles which will bring area back to same elevation as what it started with
before stock piling. The recharge pit will remain as it is a part of the farms
water augmentation plan for recharging water back into the ground water.
There is top soil under stock pile so we will reseed area where stock pile was
after everything is removed. We will be reseeding with dry land grass using
