EXEiIBIT "E" <br />RECSI~TION PLAN <br /> <br />FOREST SERVICE PIT <br />II~DEPENDENCE PASS <br />1. Upon canpletion of mining the backslopes will be left no steeper than 2:1. <br />2. The pit floor will be left in a smooth condition with a slight uniform <br />slope to the South. <br />3. Fucks too large to crush will be buried in the final pit slopes. <br />4. The pit backslopes will be smoothed and contoured to blend with the <br />surrounding terrain. <br />5. The stockpiled topsoil from the m;n;ng operation will be spread over the <br />pit slopes and floor. The depth this material is to be spread will de- <br />pend on the amount of material that is available from the area stripped. <br />6, <br />7, <br />8, <br />9. <br />10. <br />11. <br />The disturbed areas will be seeded or planted at a time of the year in a <br />manner, and with species which the District Forest Fanger considers will <br />offer the best chance of success and will be repeated annually until such <br />areas are accepted in writing by the District Ranger as satisfactorily <br />revegetated and stabilized. <br />Sane of the small trees planted in the storage area will be planted in <br />the disturbed areas, the remaining trees will be left in the storage area <br />to help screen the pit area from Highway 82. <br />The reclamation of this pit will be done in stages. When tnrk in an area <br />is co;~leted and the area is large enough, it will be reclaimed as stated <br />in this plan. The first time the pit us used under this permit the arm <br />disturbed by previous operations will be reclaimed. These areas are <br />shown on the pit map. <br />Poles salvaged from the area to be mined will be placed over the area that <br />is reclaimed. <br />All waste asphalt material and trash will be removed and hauled to a <br />county landfill. <br />Reclamation will be done by state forces. <br />• <br />
