t~+Yr~~4.-..
_ i)d?~
'~' ~ ~~'
~'~~''
~ -
l~
It is anticipated that MCC will need to occupy the drill pad azea 24-hours per day, 7 days per week, for
monitoring and water injection until after completion of Panel 13A (January 2001). Typically, mine
personnel will travel the roadway several times per day to bring samples, water level, temperature and
gas readings back to [he mine site. The drill pad area is [he surface area above the former combustion
zone of the underground S" Northwest Headgate azea. Atypical equipment list is attached which lists
equipment required at the drill sites for monitoring and water injection.
Final reclamation of the drill sites and associated pads and roads is anticipated to begin eazly in the
spring of 2001. Final reclamation would include pump and pipeline removal, sealing of drill holes, re-
grading of sub-soil (to approximate original contour) of pads and roads, re-distribution of topsoil,
seeding, fertilizing, and mulching. Sediment control measures would also be installed, i.e., silt fence,
erosion control netting and etc. The land use of grazing and wildlife habitat will remain the same.
Please notify me if you have questions regarding this permit application.
Since Y, _~~~~LV"c~
~~
Henry A. be
• Environmental Engineer
Enclosures: Special Use Permit Application
Drillsite Sections 20 and 29, T13S, R90W, 6'" PM
Equipment List
Emergency Drill Hole Data Sheet (5-31-00)
BWIvi's and ~ NWHG Drill Sites (~-17-00)
Interim Reclamation of Drill Sites (5-19-00)
cc: G.
