~~ ~

COOLEY RESERVOIR AND FULTON WILDLIFE AREA PTT
EXHIBIT S -PERMANENT MAN-MADE STRUCTURES
The purpose of this Exhibit is to specifically identify permanent man-made structures either off-site
or on-site within the permit area that are within 200' of any proposed mining. The following man-
made structures are:
Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo,) -Transmission Towers
A major transmission power line crosses the middle of both sides of the property between
Parcels A and B on the east side of the river and between Parcels D-2 and D-3 on the west
side of the river. In total there are 8 tower structures. The Slope Stability Analysis
determined that a setback of 50' is adequate to ensure that these structures would not be
impacted by mining. However, as the closest tower structures in Public 5ervice's right-of-
way boundary is 50'+ and the minimum setback from any property line to excavation is 35',
the nearest any excavation should come to any tower structure is 85'±.
Fulton Ditch Company -Fulton Ditch, Spring Creek Seep Ditch, Headgate, Other Structures
The Fulton Ditch is Parcels A's and B's east boundary. The Slope Stability Analysis
determined that a setback of 50' is adequate to ensure that this structure would not be
impacted by mining. The Spring Seep Ditch on Parcel A is located on the northeast side of
a small internal access road within the property. Per the Slope Stability Analysis no mining
would be allowed within 50' of this Ditch, but because of the location of this internal access
road, the nearest any excavation should come to the Spring Creek Ditch on Parcel A is
actually 75'+. The Spring Creek Ditch also abuts Parcel C-1, but no mining is proposed on
Parcel C-1. The headgate and other structures of the Fulton Ditch Company are within 200'
of the permit boundaries, but no mining or disturbance is proposed within 200' of these
structures.
Sinclair Pipeline Company -Gas Pipeline
Starting from the south, the Sinclair Pipeline Company has an underground gas pipeline along
the property line between Parcels C-] and C-2, turns west along the south side of 100w
Avenue, turns northwest under the Fulton Ditch, crosses southwest comer of Parcel B and
the S. Platte River, and then continues north along the west side of the S. Platte River on
Parcels D-2 and D-3 to 104"' Avenue. The Slope Stability Analysis determined that a setback
of 35' is sufficient to ensure that a structure such as a pipeline would not be impacted by
mining. This minimum setback would only be applicable west of the S. Platte River on Parcels
D-2 and D-3, where prior to mining being undertaken, the exact location of the Sinclair
pipeline shall be staked in the field to ensure this setback is followed.
