Act, or National Recreation Areas designated by Act of Congress.
• Outside the Permit Area, to the north, there exists one parcel of
land set aside by Planned Unit Development documents and deeded to
the Garfield County Commissioners. This land remains undeveloped
but accessible to the public and can be construed as a public park.
The Permit Area will remain south of this location and the parkland
will remain undisturbed by planned activities.
The parcel denoted as "Park Land" on Figure 3.1-4 does belong to
the Garfield County Commissioners as shown on Figure 2.1-9. This
area is a potential school site which was designated as such when
the preliminary PUD for Riverbend Subdivision was submitted. This
land is currently grazed by cattle and plowed from crops. It is
not a designated park and has no historic interest. Future use of
this land remains flexible depending upon future development.
• 4.6.5 Subsidence Control Plan
An initial evaluation of potential subsidence impacts has been
prepared for NCIG's Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine in Garfield County,
Colorado, by Mining & Subsidence Engineering Company. This evalu-
ation contains the necessary information on subsidence required to
satisfy the regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Board for Coal Mining.
This complete report by Mining & Subsidence Engineering Company is
presented in Appendix 9.6-1 attached to this permit application.
It presents an inventory of all existing and proposed structures,
as well as the existing renewable resource lands within and ad-
jacent to the proposed Permit Area. A description of the worst
possible consequences of subsidence on the structures and renewable
resource lands was developed. Based on these subsidence predic-
tions, a determination of no possible material damage and/or
. NCIG - Coal Ridge #1 4-87 ABC/1145/910509
~,2- 7
