Monitoring will be conducted
when discharge is anticipated and will be reported to the Colorado Department of
Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) as required by Colorado Discharge Permit
System General Permit No. COG-500000.
A flow-measuring device shall be installed at outfall 002 (Figure E-2) to give
representative values of the effluent quantities at this discharge point. The flow may
also be determined by using the pump capacity multiplied by the length of time the
pump is operated. Such method may be used provided that, at the request of the
CDPHE Water Quality Control Division or the Environmental Protection Agency, proof
of the accuracy of any Flow measuring device used in obtaining data submitted in the
monitoring report can be shown. The flow-measuring device must indicate values
within 10 percent of the actual flow being discharged.
Table 3-2 Monitoring Requirements
Effluent arameter Measurement Fre uencv Sam le T e
Flow (MGD) Weekl Instantaneous
H, s.u.
