Yndustrial Activity Description <br />The mining activities with the potential to affect stormwater di charge at the <br />Cotter Corporation Western Slope Operations JD-8 Mine consist o the following: <br />a. overburden & waste storage area (mine dump) at JD-8. <br />b. access roads <br />c. equipment fueling area <br />2. Site Map <br />Included as Exhibit A is a portion of the Bull Canyon, Colorad 7.5 minute - <br />Quadrangle USGS map showing the location of Cotter Corporation s JD-8 Mine. <br />Included as Exhibit B is a site map of the JD-8 Mine, showin the areas of <br />concern for stormwater runoff and the control measures to red ce potential <br />stormwater pollution. <br />3. Description of Potential Pollutant Sources/Material <br />The potential pollutant sources for this site include the mine dump access road <br />and equipment fueling area. These areas are described in more etail below. <br />Waste Stora eg Area -This is the 0.74 acre mine dump located <br />JD-8 portal. <br />Access Road - The graveled access road to the mine portal is <br />2200 feet long. <br />Fueling Area -This area includes a 500 gallon diesel fuel tank <br />to supply fuel to vehicles and other equipment.
