Other, depending on site <br />IV. Sediment Monitoring <br />A. Sediment/sludge may need testing depending on type of coagulant and method <br />of disposal. These sediments may be toxic due to the concentration of <br />coagulant, or unsuitable due to colloids. <br />V. Environmental Considerations <br />A. Fencing around pond may need to exclude wildlife, cattle, etc. <br />B. Screens over pond may be needed to exclude game birds <br />1. the Division should assess the impacts <br />2. the Division of Wildlife can be consulted for recommendations <br />VI. Operational Considerations <br />A. Will a backup system be needed (for example, pumps)? <br />B. If discharge will continue after close of mine, the company must commit to <br />treating as long as required. Under Section 4.05.2 (2), the facilities <br />must be maintained until either the discharge continuously meets effluent <br />limitations without treatment or until the discharge has permanently <br />ceased. <br />VII. Additional Information - - <br />A. The State Department of Health should be contacted for recommendations and <br />additional information. <br />B. The company must obtain and submit to the Division, a copy of their NPDES <br />Permit or submitted application and status. <br />C.
