Facilities Map has now been armored with minus 10 inch rock to
prevent erosion and to promote and channel surface runoff from
the tailings impoundment area to Pond 4.
C. There are no local ordinances on flood control that are
applicable for the operation.
D. The intake for the Golden Gilpin mill is weir located in the
middle of North Clear Creek. The stream bank sides are protected
by cribbing and rock riprap for approximately 100 feet above the
weir and 20 feet below the weir. CCCM has already stabilized the
banks of North Clear Creek above and below the cribbed and riprap
protected areas with approximately 40 pine tree seedlings and has
topsoiled and seeded the stream bank slopes.
E. In the event of a 100 year flood event, the majority of the
flood waters will cross over Highway 119 and flow down the east
side of the canyon. In addition, the close proximity of Highway
119 to North CLear Creek and the Golden Gilpin mill does not
allow room to construct 100 year flood erosion control
structures.
4
