. • •
SHIPPS PIT - WELD COUNTY
EXHIBIT B: MINING PLAN "CONTINUED"
3 months. However, if the Department of Highways maintenance forces
are doing the work it is possible that they could have a stockpile
of produced material in the pit area for 2 or 3 years. The object
of this being to have readily available material for use in routine
highway maintenance, repairs, and overlays when such work is
required in the area. Quite often in our maintenance operations the
mining of gravel for stockpile production will only take 2 or 3
weeks, or less, every year or two. Work in the pit area then would
be limited to occasional days throughout the year when material is
hauled from the stockpile to the roadway or perhaps for one or two
months some years when when the asphalt plant would be moved into
the permit area to produce mix for patching or overlays.
f) The following types of equipment could possibly be utilized in the
permit area: dozers, front end loaders, trucks, motor graders, earth
moving scrapers, farm type tractors, seed drills, mulchers, ~
fertilizer spreaders.
