Dept of Natural Resources <br />Enclosed are the following PE certification reports for <br />Northern Coal Company's Meeker complex: <br />1) Northern #1 Mine Haul Road - Rule 4.03.1 <br />2) Northern #1 Mine Sediment Pond - Rule 4.05.9(7) <br />3) Refuse Facility Sediment Pond - Rule 4.05.9(7) <br />4) Both Sediment Ponds at the Rienau #2 Mine - <br />Rule 4.05.9(7) <br />Site inspections and measurements needed for the reports <br />were performed on July 24-25, 1984. I am a certified <br />professional engineer in the State of Colorado with <br />experience in the Eastern and Western U.S. in the design and <br />construction of haul roads, pond embankments and coal refuse <br />facilities. <br />Inspections and measurements were conducted by <br />Northern Coal employee Ken Abbott. A precision <br />stadia rod and measuring tape were used <br />elevations, slopes and other dimensions of t <br />ponds.
