- '~~~ ~ i III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
999
Continuation of Permit Application
RXHTRTT R
-WATER RESOURCES
a) No surface water or wells occur on the affected land
b) No subsurface water occurs on the affected land
c) The operation does not require any water
d) An NPDES permit is not required
*NOTE: The Yampa Valley runs three miles south of the operation in an
E-W orientation.
RXHTRTT ('
-WILDLIFE RESOURCES
Species sited on the property include foxes and deer (on occasion), chip-
munks, insects. We have been unable to get a wildlife officer up to the
gravel area. As far as we know any wildlife that happens to be in the
area will not be negatively affected by the operation. No endangered
species are present.
EXHIBIT D
-SOILS
See SCS report.
EXHIBIT E
-VEGETATION
See SCS report.
EXHIBIT F
-MINING PLAN
The mining operation will begin in section 1 outlined on the map (See
EXHIBIT H). Topsoil will be removed and stockpiled on the North edge
of the affected land. If necessary, a quick cover-crop such as rye or
oats will be used to stabilize the stockpile. (See map for details).
Overburden from section 1 will be placed in section 2 while section 1 is
being mined for gravel. When section 1 is completely mined, the over-
burden will be replaced {ran section 2, that section will be graded, top-
soiled and revegetated with the proposed seeding mixture. This process
will be carried out for the entire operation until all seven sections
have been mined. It is anticipated that, at most, one section per year
would be mined.
