Outfalls 001 and 002 flowed at least once during the third quarter of 1986 (no TDS
values were reported). Second quarter 1986 Dt4t'a indicate that flow was present at both
outfalls for et least one week (TDS at Outfall 001 was 978 mg/1, TDS at Outfall 002 was
5188 mq/1). During the £irat quarter 1986, flow was present at both outfalle for at
least two weeks (TDS values: Out£all 001 average = 974 mq/1, Outfall 001 maximum = 1280
mg/1, Outfall 002 average = 4232 mq/1 and Outfall 002 maximum = 4692 mg/1).
Hoth out£alle generally £low only ae a result of snowmelt runoff. Outfall 001 will £low
if the winter snowpack is average or above. Outfall 002 will flow only if winter
anowpack is above average (1986). TD9 values at Outfall 002 era higher than Outfall 001
possibly due to coal leachate, but moat probably due to a larger begin diacharga area in
which high concentrations of naturally occurring welts are present in the topsoil and
alluvium.
Hydrologic Structures and Water Highte
Locations of hydrologic atructurea (i.e., water supply intakes, ditches, reservoirs, and
wells) and water righte in the vicinity of the permit area era shown on the map
• contained in Attachment 14-1.
